Purna is a Senior Training Manager at Microsoft. If you attend SEO conferences, you can’t miss her: she’s everywhere, helping us think about how the job of web-marketers will change with the AI revolution. In our first blog post on mazen-app, we imagined how AI and chatbots might become our top targets for SEO. We’re heading into a world where search engine results are selected by AI assistants, not humans.

In this interview, we asked her specific questions about chatbots and the future of SEO:

“Can you tell us a little bit more about the tools Microsoft has released to help us create chatbots?

“You told us that 30% of web traffic in 2020 will be screenless. Since many users will be bots and AI, what will the consequences be for SEO specialists?”

“As SEO specialists, we know that we have to optimize content for our users. If the users become AI, should we start thinking about optimizing for machines?”

"In five years, we won't be doing SEO for humans anymore, but for machines. Here's what's going to change. "

Is organic SEO dying? We believe it is definitively not. But the way we communicate with computers is deeply changing, and so is SEO.
